There are no online signups for this event. Please email melinda.stapley@mpls.k12.mn.us, or call (877) 917-0079 for more info.
This workshop is open to teachers participating in the STEM-GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Mathematics and Science) and STEM-GISE (Guys In Science and Engineering) Programs through Minneapolis Public Schools.
We are expecting 50 K-8 teachers to participate in this FREE, full day wind energy science workshop. Unfortunately this workshop is only open to teachers involved in STEM-GEMS and STEM-GISE. Contact Melinda Stapely if you are a Minneapolis Public School teacher and would like to attend or have questions: melinda.stapley(at)mpls.k12.mn.us
This workshop will introduce teachers to the science behind wind energy and share ideas and lesson plans to successfully integrate wind energy STEM concepts into classroom curricula.
There will be a 1-hour lunch break, but lunch will not be provided. Attending teachers should plan to bring their own lunches or get food at one of several nearby locations during the break.
For questions on the workshop contact Joe Rand at KidWind: joe(at)kidwind.org
